About K-9: A brief history

K-9 Security Services Ltd. was founded in 1995 and reorganized in 2000 after amalgamation with Star Security and Detectives Ltd.

In April 2008 GlobalSource Ltd, the international investigations and security company, entered a trial agreement to manage K-9 as part of its global operations and with an eye to possibly acquiring K-9 at a later date.

In its early days, K-9 operated under strategic cooperation agreements with the global risk management and security divisions of security corporations listed on New York Stock Exchange.

K-9 logo

The “canine” motif suggests a loyal protector. The logo, evoking absolute security, is based on the Greek mythological Cerberus, the three-headed “hound of Hades” tasked with guarding the entrance to the underworld that separated the living from the dead.

Organization

K-9's organization is simple and flexible and tasked with adapting quickly to the needs of clients and to the requirements and trends of the market.

Legal status

There is not any specific legislation regulating the activities of security companies. They operate under the Company Law of the Republic of Cyprus, Chapter 113.
